“Toto didn’t really care whether he was in Kansas or the Land of Oz so long as Dorothy was with him, and it’s the same for us.  We’ve been too long without a person and home to call our own.  Don’t get us wrong, we’re very grateful to the Tehama County Animal Care Center at 1830 Walnut Street, Red Bluff, CA  (530-527-3439) for caring for us for all these months,  but we really long for a person, just like Dorothy, who’ll love and worry about us forever and ever.

We have been waiting so long for our very own person.  When we heard that P.E.T.S. launched the “There’s No Place Like Home” #Adoption event, starting September 22nd thru Saturday, September 27th to help us find our very own home, we barked and jumped for joy!  It’s not as if we don’t appreciate the special attention we’ve been getting here, because we do.  Life has been so much better since we came to the Center.

We’ve had our shots, are in pretty good health, and a number of us can get along nicely with other dogs (and yes, even cats) because we have been living in the doggie dorms and had to learn how to share.   And the best part is when our new owner comes to get us they don’t have to worry about paying the spay or neutering fee (P.E.T.S. is covering it).  Plus, when we pack our basket to go, there’ll be some dog food and a toy in it.  What more could anyone want!

So, like Toto we don’t care if we go to Kansas or Oz, we just want to be with our own special person… then the dreams that we dare to dream really will come true!”
